LATEST NEWS

This popular and successful school still has a limited number of places available for Reception classes starting in September 2012, there is also some limited availability in other year groups.

We have the advantage of single-age, small classes, located in a separate area of the school with well-equipped, dedicated outdoor learning area for Reception children.

We have excellent results at all Key Stages; we recognise the challenges which will face the next generation and we seek to provide appropriate skills within an innovative curriculum environment.

Set in wonderful, wooded grounds, we enjoy outdoor learning opportunities, both on site and out of school including residential journeys for our older children with visits and visitors enhancing the learning.

The behaviour of our children is excellent and care is at the heart of everything we do. High standards at every level are exprected and achieved.

If you would like to visit, please contact the school office on 01474 702742.

Come and meet our children who are our most effective advocates and ambassadors!

School Prospectus

We consider ourselves privileged to be part of the Team of Learning at Hartley Primary School. We are lucky to work with delightful, industrious, children who aspire to progress; we have supportive and committed parents, dedicated governors and talented, hardworking teachers and teaching assistants.

Hartley Primary School "is a friendly, caring and harmonious community in which pupils feel safe"
(Osted Feb 2011)

Our school is set in beautiful grounds in the middle of Hartley, the charming Kent village. We believe in - and celebrate - success at all levels and in all fields. Excellence and enjoyment are key areas for continuing school development. 'Every Child Matters' in Hartley Primary School and enabling children to become partners in learning and have a real voice in their school community is essential.

"Pupils take responsibility for aspects of school life with enthusiasm..."
(Ofsted Feb 2011)

All of our staff give 100% and are wholly committed to creating a learning environment which is safe and secure, stimulating and exciting, in order that our children come to school with a feeling of anticipation and enthusiasm.

I am always proud to show visitors and guests around our school; both children and staff convey the true essence of learning at Hartley far better than I could communicate in words. You will be warmly welcomed - come and participate in the 'Hartley Experience'.
